Math, April. 22 - Coalition government in the State is
planning to start cow bank to preserve Indian breed cattle,
Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has said.
Inaugurating the world conference on Indian breed cattle
here on Sunday he said, responsibility of preserving the
indigeneous breed cattle is rest on all of us. Human beings
have to face great problem, if cattle breed perish, he
warned. We failed to create awareness about the importance
of indigeneous cattle breed among common man. Adding he
said, cow slaughters should be punished. While lauding
the math for taking up the initiative for cow protection
he called on the people to extend support to the matt
for the same. Government has already released an amount
of Rs. 2 crore for the math, he added.

Sidelights
All starts from 'Gavyachikista' here Ramachandrapur Math,
April. 22- Cow plays an important role in the production
of manure which acts as a natural fertiliser and could
be utilised in the production of food products. The Math's
premises is now full of organic products manufactured
by utilising cow's discards like urine, dung etc.which
includes from medicines to fertilisers. You can get here
products ranging from soaps to Shampoo, ointments to pain
killers which are all the products of Ayurvedic and the
discards of cows. Almost all the stalls are attracting
customers in large numbers. Hospitals running by the matt's
doctors and treated with'Gomutra'(cow's urine)are very
helpful in curing various diseases and get revival from
health disorders. Ayurvedic treatment here starts from
'Gavyachikitsa'which is a peculiar thing we can see here.
Hospitality takes first seat :
Ramachandrapur Math, April. 22- Sunny weather, damping air flashes often from the basin of Sharavathi river amidst devotees throng elsewhere in the math premises. But, hospitality takes the first seat as the volunteers who were in saffron clad, always ready to treat the guests with smile. They are all chanting 'Vande Gou Matharam'(Mother, cow I will salute you). There was no artificial look while treating guests. Volunteers always welcoming and treating them with good heart. There was variety of beverages like tea, coffee, milk and foods like rice, ambar, curd, pickle, Payasa etc. which suits to all tastes of people.

Foreigners' participation:
Foreigners in large numbers from the countries like Keenya,
Uganda, Brazil, Hungeri, America are actively taking part
in the conference which gives a special meaning for world
conference on Indian breed cattle. They shows special
interests in all parts of conference. Representatives
from all walks of life across the country reflects the
scene of mini world at the math premises. Cowherds from
the states like Gujarat, Delhi, Maharastra and northen
parts of Karnataka attending the conference in large nymbers.
Rain's blessing: Ramachandrapur math has not received
rain so far eventhough rain lashes many parts of the State
since few days. But, for the first time shower comes as
blessing on the inaugural day of the conference. Conference's
main podium is full of cow's arts. Artists decorated the
podium with different guestures of cow's arts. The whole
back scene reflects the main theme word'A Keval navAr
nahi, Jan hai Bharat ka'. Peculiar Inauguration: Inauguration
has it's own peculiarity while programme was inaugurated
with a scene of 'Samudra manthana(churning of sea)'. It
was based on a story depicted in Hindu epic Bhagavatha.
According to it, Kamadhenu arises from the sea as a product
when churning of sea took place between devathas (deities)
and Rakshasas (demons). Inaugural function was a combination
of lights and darks and was a attractive point of spectators.
Bull landed podium: Guddada Mallapur Math Mookappa Swamiji
(Bull) landed the podium as soon as the inauguration starts.
It is a Gujarat based Kankrage breed bull. |
Rear
cattle for economical stability :
Swamiji Ramachandrapur Math,
April, 22- People can attain economical stability by rearing
cattle, Shree Raghaveshwar Bharathi Swamiji said here
on Sunday. In his inaugural speach at the world conference
on Indian breed cattle he said, there should be a mega
initiative to protect the cattle breed which is the need
of the hour. Ironically, Wolrd conference on Indian breed
cattle starts on the day of Shankar Jayanthi, a founder
of 'Advaitha matha Siddantha'. Adding, Swamiji called
for the end of cow slaughter and suggests to rear cows
in each and every houses in the country. 'You give a place
for the cow in your heart, in respose it helps your life
in the form of money, art and service' Swamiji added.

Extend cow awareness jatha to Delhi: Prakash Rao
Ramachandrapur Math, April, 22- Cow slaughter prevention bill during former Prime Minister Jawaharalal Nehru's regime failed to get parliment's consent eventhough Hindus were in majority. As a result now cow slaughter increases to 30-40 thousands per day, well known scholar Prakash Rao Pavagada lamented.
He was addressing the discussion on cow and history at the world conference on Indian breed cattle here on Monday.
The awareness programme initiated in Ramachandrapur Math of Hosanagar taluk should extend to New Delhi. Cow slaughter prevention bill should be passed in the parliment, he said.
While revealing the history of fighting against cow slaughter he said, long back, Chatrapathi Shivaji on the direction of Ramadasa fought against the cow slaughter which is now history. After that Puri swamiji fought against it in the centuries back during British rule. Later, Mangal Pande fought against it. Now Raghaveshwar Swamiji taking his path in this direction, he added.
