Dr. Vishwanatha Reddy
Spoke on diseases in Indigenous cattle and its solutions.
He spoke on Natural Changes in Nature. Every seven years there will be chnges in physically, environmentally and also in nature in dict. He also linked with diet and health as we know there will be changes in physic of any human being as per diet, the same rule applies to animals also. The animal will get the disease in following cases. Bacteria, Virus, Deficiency in Vitamins etc. It can be cured by change in the diet of animal and some medicine. The changing diet and medicine would give more resistance power in animal. He also shared the results of his research i.e. how the resistance power can be increased.
1. By giving colestom (milk produced in cow mother immediately after the birth of calf) within fifteen minutes from the time of birth.
2. Jowar remaining.
3. Ragi.
He also gave name of some other home medicines for diseases.

Shree A.P. Chandrashekhar
Spoke on organic farming. He linked 'GOU' word with 'GOVINDA'. He said Gou is already there inside Govinda. He also expressed that original or natural manure helps the Bhumatha to give the result in better manner.

Dr. David Steen, Thailand.
He showed the difference between Indicus with Taurus. He specifically told that India has the cow which has high potential. They can adjust themselves under any environment though each breed is different. He showed the difference in resistance power, nutrition, volume etc. The effect of heat and environment would be more on Taurus than Indigenous breed. He also said resistance power is also more in Indigenous as compared to Taurus i.e. Hybrid.
India should get up now because when we have high potential cows. Still we bring Hybrid cows from outside. He also explained about structural farming, diary breed and principle management.
He said as per the breeds capacity the resource should be exploited. He said the contribution of land owners are less than the farmers who sell milk and also more awareness is required on breed its speciality.

Afternoon Session

Shree Ramesha Raju, Mandya.
Explained about the system which is traditional, our ancestors followed our traditional system of farming and very happy. He also explained that by (a) Preserving seeds of this year till next year (b) Using bull for agriculture or ploughing (c) Using fertilisers produced by us ourselves of cow dung or urine.
The above mentioned way automatically leads to zero based budget and also high return, He also showed concern about the modern technology which requires loans for tractor, pesticides that is burdenning farmers.

Dr. Maharaja
He spoke on 'Panchagavya in Farming'.
Said 'Pancha' this word is there from Vedic period. Like 'Om Namashshivaya', 'Panchabhuta' and 'Panchagavya' etc. He explained how was inspired by the conference held in 1998 where farming was done using cow dung and urine. He thought he would use 'Panchgavya' as fertilizers with other natural resources. He also explained the quantity of each item in Panchagavya to be used as fertilizer or pesticide. He also explained the results of Panchagavya and the way to use it.

Ms. Priti, Swadesha Swarajya Abhiyan, Bhupal.
Expressed her concern about the M.N.C.s in India and the effect of the same. She also mentioned about the Nandigrama instance and westernisation. People are attracted to west and modern technology. We are selling educational institutions and financial institutions to outsiders. She also said saving our culture whether it is a land of farmers (which are sold to M.N.C.s like Pepsi etc.) cows are very important. Her main point is to be self reliant.

Shree Narayana Reddy
Talked about the education to be given to farmers on the land and its language. He said we don't have one system to follow. As many farms that many systems is followed. He said we should abuse any system and should system, which is good to land. Land has its own language should understand and do the farming.

Dr. Sadhana.
Spoke on cattle breed improvement and preservation and conservation. She talked about the speciality of 'breed' what it meant and how it will help in making use at its best. He also insisted that input or output ratio is at its best when it is original breed.
Hastily question and answer session was done to clear doubts of farmers and participants.
Milk of bottle - organic
Milk of mother - natural
Urea or patassium - chemical
Cow - agriculture and environment
Cow is the mother of earth if this is true then it becomes our duty to conserve them. When the calf comes out it directly goes to the nipples and sucks the milk. Can you explain scientifically how the calf knows that this is milk. Cow does not throw away the milk of the calf does not suck. So the milk of the cow is reserved for calf and not for human beings.
But it throws dung and does not reserve for calf. It means we do not have authority on milk, dung, urine. It is milk for calf and others for earth. Then we should sell it. Breeds like Kandhari, Gaulav, Deoni of Maharashtra, Tharpark, Sahiwal, Krishna Valley and Malenadu Gidda etc. done the research on cow dung and urine.
The cow which gives more milk, does not give effective dung or urine against a Malenada Gidda. So the nature has its own way to control.
Till today since ancestors, Gopalan was done for the bull and not for sale of milk. So its nature that more production reduces the quality.
If there is law that without the influence of human beings the trees at the forest grows nicely that means we are not the controller but the nature.
He also explained that if our earth is rich we can also rich which only possible by adopting natural farming.
Nature has its own law any item which is part of nature i.e. biodegradable is a nature in itself.
So what is nature is cow dung, urine which can be biodegradable should be used for farming.
So 'Indian cow breeds' should be preserved and protected.

Dr. H.H. Vishweshwara, Bangalore.
Spoke on relevance of bullock. He explained the pros and its benefits of draft animals power means devises which can be used by using bulls.
He showed the concern about the bulls, as people don't have place to produce grass required to give to livestock and bulls are not fed properly due to poor family background, education, awareness etc. He also said that Government should take action to enhance draft animals power. He also explained steps to give more importance to draft animal power and increasing awareness.

Shree Omprakash, President of All India Gou Samrakshana Parishath.
He spoke in Hindi. He explained that, how we are eating / consuming poison from the food daily. He explained the type of fertilizers. He also explained that consumption of cow urine helps in being good health of human being.

Dr. T.K. Velly, Haryana.
Talked about production of methene from cow dung etc. He said cow dung produces more methane contributes more than Carbon-dye-oxide in depleting 'Ozone' layer. Then he explained how to reduce methane in cow dung. He explained increase :
1. Digestibility of animal which will increase animal production.
2. Quality of feeds.
3. Diet control of animal.
4. Genetic manipulation.

Date : 25-04-2007

Dr. Ramesh Bhat
He spoke on safety and quality control of Cow milk. He spoke that the awarness in farmers is necessary because when the animal cattle is not well, farmers take them to veterinary hospital when the antibiotics given to the animal. The milk, which is produce, will contain the antibiotics contents, which will be again transferred to human beings. So special care should be taken about the health of cattle. He also specified about the food bound diseases and control machanism that is HACCP. He mentioned that Government of India has taken steps to stop adultration in the milk.

Dr. Ganga Sathyam, Ayurvedic Doctor, Hyderabad.
He spoke on the importance of Gokshira or Cow Milk in our life. He said we can prove scientifically that Panchagavya / Gokshira can cure or capable to cure all the problems of health. He explained with the story when the 'Kshirasagara' was churned Kamadhenu, Poison, Amrutha etc. were came out of the sagara and the poison was drunk by 'Shiva' when the Goukshira was taken by 'Shiva' from Kamadhenu he was suffering less. So same way Panchagavya of Indian origin breed would definitely Amrutha for the poison, which were taken by every human being by way food, milk or in any other way.
Any human being for diseases like problems in digestive, sterility in men or women weakness, fractured bones all can be cured by Gokshira or Gou products. Kshira Panchakam is the best for any chronic ailements the person who taken every day. The Goamrutha need not be feared of any diseases.
He started his speech with the name to Shree Shankaracharya Raghaveshwara Bharathi and said he has turned Sahyadri Parvatha into Govardhana Giri and he is Giridhari and giiving examples from Vedas.

Dr. Ramamohana, Coimbetore.
Spoke on Dugdha, Dadhi and Takra for better health. He said that he would be trying to be within the scope of the subject. Technically and try to reduce the repetition which was spoken by earlier speaker. He gave the definition of Dugdha-milk, Dadhi-curd and Takra-butter milk.
He explained that whether the milk is adulterated or not the properties of milk like water, lactose minerals, etc. would be same. May be the Percent of contents change. He also explained that depend on factors like colour, breed, environment and diet. He specified that in any case fat content is less in origin breed cow. He explained good and bad things of milk. He explained that there is nothing in the earth, which has bad side. But we have to exploit the good things. 25% of human requirement can be covered by milk and reduces Osteoporosis during old age. How milk consumption would keep diseases away from human being is also explained by Dr. he also share his practical examples of using milk as medicine as per Ayurveda. During explaining curd he gave the difference between the yogurt and curd. He explained that the factors which affect the milk, it will affect curd. He also told about the Dos and Donts of curd. Like curd should not be taken is night, should not be taken hot and also not with soups. Then he took the topic of buttermilk. Its benefits properties and help in health disease of buttermilk. He also explained about the cultured and natural buttermilk. He explained all the points wit h Ayurveda as a base.

Dr. Chandrashekhara Nautiyal.
Cow and agriculture who was to give lecture on 24-04-2007 he said that they have taken many patients for various projects. Their latest project is Cow urine effect exclusicely by neem leaves and turmuric. He showed his concern saying the chemicals, which we use in the field, make ground water contaminated and spoil the soil. And inturn which affect the crop and so on. He also said that research by neem and garlic with urine is also going on. He proudly said that he was in Boston for 10 years, he came back to India only because he wants to be in India soil and love emotional attachments to Cow.

Dr. Shridhara Bayari, Udupi.
He spoke on benefits and speciality of Santhanika that is cream. Navaneetha that is butter and Ghee. He paid there is emteen evidences we get two types of urine is always better than white yellowish means, the Cow is grazing in the field and having natural given leaves. He said though it is little heavy for digestive but is good for blood disorders and pitta (acidity) disorder. Then he has taken butter as the subjects to explain the pro and consequences of butter.
As everybody know butter is used in our daily life like it is used with Roti, Parathas, Idli and Dosa etc.
He explained the benefits and importance of cream and ghee with the references of Shlokas in our Veda.
He specified that butter is the best drug for child in improving digestive system and reduces aging etc.
Importance of Ghee :
That is Ghritha was explored by Dr. Shridhara Bayari.
He explained the classical and proper method to prepare ghee. He said the ghee which is used will have qualities like complexion memory, voice, strength etc. He also said that, that is the reason, original ghee used in 'Yajna' for improvement in environment. It is also surprise to know that ghee has a power to protect human body from ill effect of radio active waves.
He concluded his speech by saying live naturally and leave naturally to live Cow naturally. If we do then there is no need to do any research. He also specified that ghee would help in great extent if taken properly.
Dr. B. Krishnamurthy added point or supported saying the antioxidants in Indian breed Cows' products.

Dr. K.C. Raghavan, Kerala.
He talked about Genetic Engineering and its ethical issues.
He explained how genetic engineering is a part of Bio Technology. Mixing of D.N.A. of all living being organism and producing new organism in itself. He explained about the main application like Trans genetic animal and animal clones. Basically trans genetic animals are with foreign D.N.A. So how do we do that? The scientists do it with injecting D.N.A., restrovirus and also stem cell used. He then proceeded with the help in agriculture, medical and industrial applications by using trans genetic. He briefed patently altered organism like protein, micro organisms, molecular etc. Australia has a liberal system for patent as compared to other contries, the merits and demerits of the trans genetic are. It contribures saving in breed limitations and increased in the welfare of human beings and exploiting the resources of any other country. But the demerits of the same is ethically it is not write and also exploiting the resources of other contry for our benefit is not right.
He then explained about the ethical side. In a long term Trans genetic is not advisable because :
Success rate is low
It is not against animal welfare
Safety level is less
Animal wealth is exploited
Might be a D.N.A. error
Creation of new diseased would be the furure.

Mr. Roberto Tudaro, Brazil.
He spoke about how cattle production in Brazil has benefited from introduction of Indian breed.
Initially cattle breeding in Brazil was developed with the use of European cattle (8 lakhs of bovines of European breed were improved). But production decreased and failed in some cases / instances due to the inability of the cattle to adapt to the weather.
Only 6000 bovines of Indian breed were improved but they were able to adapt naturally to Brazilian climate and are now farming 90% of the cattle population there.
Breeds introduced were Zebu, Nelore (Ongole), Gyr (Gir) and Guzera (equivalent to Kankrej breed). Initially they were bred for meat production but now importance is being given to milk production, as a result of which lactation improved (for eg. In Guzera breed it increased from 2300 kgs / lactation to 2800 kgs / lactation with 290 days of lactation).
Another breed introduced for milk production is the Sindhi breed.

Shree Balabhadra Das, Minister for cow protection and agriculture, ISKCON.
He spoke on cow protection around the world. He emphasized that the discussion on cow protection should revolve around spiritual science and not just material science. He spoke on holistic cow care as the cow is the representation of mother earth. They are feeding us (U mother earth Gou Matha) we will starve to death without them.
The spiritual importance is seen in Gou Maya i.e. the cow dung is Lakshmi Mata when we will kill the cow, we are destroying our good furure.
Gou Mutra is urine is Ganga Matha when we kill the cow, we are killing purity.
In Vedic times cow was raised for production of bulls. Bulls were required for agriculture and transport.
Cowdung is been used for its anti septic qualities and as a fuel
Cow urine is been used for agriculture, medicine, sanitation and puja
Milk is been used for consumption and also for ghee for sacrificial fire and for butter milk.
Gou Mata is a diety. Her 4 legs represent the pillare of life.
Trethfulness
Cleanliness
Mercy
Austicity
Cow protection and bull protection is protection of our culture. It is the root to solve the problems in Kaliyug.
Iscowp has adopted a cow programme for 'Go Seva'. Question and answer session followed.
Main point was information given that non-vegetarian food is given to the cows in Europe, which has resulted in how the quality of milk (in terms of medical qulities) and mad cow disease.

Dr. Sunil Mansinghka
He spike on various topics including those related to the morning session. The topics discussed were :
Milk as poison because of milk increasing injections. Otherwise cow milk is pure.
Ghee's colestroral reducing qulities.
Panchgavya as anti oxident
Gou maya as anti cancer agent
Non availability of good books or lack of publicity on Indian breed cattle.
Plantation of trees and shrubs required for increasing cow milk production in all Goushalas.

Dr. B. Krishnamurthy
Summerised on the benefits of using the various products received from the cow.
From the Vedic times we have been using Panchagavya for nutrition. Gou Matha gives Amrutha from every part of her body. Cow milk and gou mutra contain qualities which stabilise the poisonous elements which enter our body through various kinds of chemical intake. Gou mutra especially controls all the poisonous elements and acts as a medicine. Cow products reduce all side effect encountered in using midicines and cures them.
He also expressed his feeling and sentiments about the pride in raising cows.

Dr. G.S. Bhat
He spoke about the benefits obtained from using cow products by explaining the same is a scientific way (through chemical composition).
Cow's ghee contains more fatty acids than vegitable fat and this gives the distinct flavour to ghee.
Ghee containing more anti oxidants like beta corotene, phospo - lipids (required for brain tissues), vitamin E etc. This helps in brain development and gives more energy and is therefore useful for children.
Milk protein is the best protein especially for body building as it contains 8 essential amino acids not synthesized in the body. These proteins and peptides are cbsorbed easily in the body. It binds calcium and helps in bone growth, blood clotting etc. This explains the role of milk in Ayurveda. 20% of Rigveda texts talk about milk and ghee from cows.
Lactose, asugar present only in Milk. Milk also contains other minerals such as sulphur. It is thus a complete food. India is the highest producer of milk in the world.
Another point emphasized was the content of snf in milk. In cross breed cows, the snf content is less but in Indigenous breeds the snf is more than 85%.

The importance of fungi in cow dung also explained in detail.
The dung, which is isolated by fungi can be used in organ transplantation. During operation / surgery it is used.
He also showed the points, which are proposed research subjects.

Dr. Evan, Kenya.
He spoke on the breed of Indian origin 'Sahiwal' in Kenya. He said this breed was taken in 1930 to Kenya. As this breed is basically strong for physical walk. They have also started and managing milk production as well.
The instituted N.S.S. ( National Sahiwal Study) is established with the object of protecting this breed.
The records for birth, disposal of death, inseminations during its lives, weight etc. The adaptability and temperament is best seen in this breed. He has also given the statistics about the milk yields. They have tested the breed under various circumstances.
Their main object is conservation and utilisation. He also showed the slides on the age of the cow, the comparison with Zebu breed. He concluded his with a strategic data.

Dr. Jayakrishna, Hyderabad.
He gave the presentation on Ayurveda research of Panchagavya.
He tried to give examples and supported with vedic shlokas.
He said gout prakrithi is made of kapha, basically among all kapha prakrithi is best which shows dharmapara and satyapara.
Basic principles of gou ghritha, gou maya and gou mutra were explained. Gou ghritha is good for vatha and pitha. Prakrithi gou maya and gou mutra are good for vayu and kapha.
Prakrithi gou mutra is enough for three dosha.
He explained at what prakrithi ghritha and dadhi should be consumed. It should be taken under proper medication otherwise it may lead to fever bleeding disorders, skin diseases, anemia and giddiness.
Principles of takra also explained by him. He said butter milk should be taken with other combination to get good health. It should not be used who have injury in chest or unconsciousness from giddiness.
He showed the slide which showed principles of Gou mutra saying it is vata kapha hara, pitha people should not be taken. He also said ghee is better than butter and also biotics.

Dr. Hitesh Jani, Jamnagar, Gujarat.
He spoke on Panchganya for health. The stages are preventive, promotive and curative. He specified by saying our aim should be to take protecting and propogating of Indian origin breed cows rather selling products like soap, shampoo made of cow dung and urine.
He also said milk has the power to control radioactive that too only milk from the breeds of Indian origin. He stressed the importance of cibroside means helps in memory.
He said the digestive system in the cows are very long as compared to buffalo or any other animal. Milk production is high in buffalo as compared to cows. But the quality of milk far better than buffalo milk.
Carotene is one of the most important component is ten percent more than buffalo milk. Suryakethu Nadi from which the light of the sun goes into the cows body. The urine has the power to control the cancer. Gou mutra will stop the ageing. It can be used as antioxidant, anti career and tuberculosis and bacteria. Iodine content is high in milk. It is a food supplement.
He also said it is a drug vehicle. It stops premature ageing, haira loss etc. He supported and concluded his speech saying 'Gou mutra is a mobile pharmacy'. He proudly said at village women have established co-operative society sell milk and have become self reliant.

Dr. R.S. Chowhan
He spoke about the diseases in animals and its curing techniques.
He said 50% of the diseases are due to the cross breeding. Due to low fertility the insemination is difficult. Cross breed cow should be discarded after three years due to diseases.
He spoke on the results of scientific research on cow urine. When human or cattle's intake contains pesticides the same comes in their milk. But if we see Indian breed cow's tissues pesticides can be seen which is filtered while milking.
Immune system is increased by taking Gou mutra by 104%. He supported his speech by giving two examples of a lady who had a breast cancer and did not have a child and another intestine cancer which was cured in 6 months and 2 months respectively. He also said Gou mutra is anti bacteria used medicine on plants.

Date : 27-04-2007

Dr. K.P. Agarwal, New Dehli
He was the second speaker for the day who gave an introduced to his speech by spelling out some important statistics regarding the cattle breeds. The population of the cattle is 17% of the entire human population in the world. The Indian cattle is 30% of the human population which is the best in the world. The cattle breeds like gir and Ongol are the oldest breeds, Brahman breed was developed from the cattle breed of Indian origin. Gir and Ongol breeds of cattle were taken to Brazil during 1906. Their speciality is adaptability, tough and to sustain on poor quality of food. They help in farming manure, food medicines. Then he had revealed the present status of the cattle population in India. According to; which there was a general decline in the population of the entire cattle population. There was a decline in the productivity of milk, there was a dilution in the purity of breeds, some of the indigenous breeds like red sindhi and tharparker in Rajasthan, Gujarath and Ongole are on the verge of exitinction. Whereas punganur in the Andhra Pradesh had already become extinct. While the population of Sahiwal breed was fast declining. According to him the following were the reasons for such a decline in the indigenous breed of cattle. They are
Blind following of westernised techniques which depend on the soil and nature.
Indiscriminate breeding
Illegal slaughtering i.e. when the animal dies it is either expiated or slaughtered.
Deficiency in cattle food and fodder
Impact of adverse climate
Lack of forces of selection
Lack of use of modern breeding techniques
Then he concludes the speech by suggesting the following long term measure to conserve the breed and improve the performance
To have in place a poorer breeding policy
To collect the entire data on the number of population of the various breeds of cattle in India
To completely ban the cross breeding
To create awareness amongest the farmers
To adopt institutional mechanism
To foster research on the breed of cattle and breeding techniques
To extensively put the cattle of Indian origin to greater use
To provide good quality of cattle feeds
To register the breeding bulk
To encourage the farmers with incentives
Finally he concluded that if the above measure are initiated then it would result in the growth of Indian economy.

Shree Suryakantha Jain
He spoke on rural development with cow.
He spoke on his own experiences regarding the fact that a village could be made self reliant. The problems that they were facing were that of water shortage, unemployment and soil problem. This was overcome by using cow dung and urine over the years that enhanced the fertility of the soil and the farmers could grow any crop with better yields compared to the use of chemical fertilizers.
By adopting water harvesting the water table risen and the problem of water shortage could be efficiently overcome. At the same time by using the human resources in conserving the water problem of unemployment could also be overcome. The problem of migration of rural youth in search of employment was also overcome
They had then established a co-operative societies and banks to fund rural self employment by providing them with the capital to start Handloom cloth
Milk production using urine and cow dung
Agricultural produces started heaping up with available market at their door step.
He said that this village which had become self reliant was telecast on the Zee T.V. and National T.V.

Dr. Gaurang Vyas
He spoke on the bio energy began his speech with a shloka from the Vedas which said that on of the places of Shree Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth is cow dung. Revealing his concern for the rampant use of chemicals, oils and fertilisers and quoting his own experience of having utilized the gobar gas for disposing of hospital wastage and use the energy so generated for sterilisation of medical instuments and boiling water.
He further expressed his experience in another instrument which in producing CBG form the bio gas and CNG. He also had made a mention of a generator which was developed exclusively for Shree Ramachandrapura Math for the generation of electricity by using bullocks.
He also explained how this would help in industrial energy, fuel, vermin compost, gou muthra and medicine. It is his firm openion that the cattle could be used as draught power as source of energy for street light, water pumps etc.

Shree A.K. Brahmachri Jain, Udaipur.
The problem of cow slaughtering had to go a number of hurdles that include lack of political will amongst the legislations to enact laws in place to protect the cattle from being sent to the slaughtering houses. This was the subject discussed in course of his speech. He had also shared his experiences of the long legal battled that he had fought in in order to protect them from being taken to the slughtering houses.
