Over one crore cow-lovers including chief ministers
from five states, scientists, dignitaries are expected
to turn up at the World Cow Conference to be held
between April 21 and 29 at the Sri Ramachandrapur
math in Hosanagar, said Sri Raghveshwara Bharati Swamiji.
Addressing a press conference at the DCC bank the
Swamiji said that around 20 dignitaries including
Chief Ministers from Karnataka, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh,
Rajasthan and Chattisgarh, Baba Ramadev and Amruthanandamayi
are expected to participate in the conference. Boarding
and lodging facility has been arranged for 25 lakh
people.
The aim of the conference is to prevent continuous
cruelty on cows and to disseminate the importance
of the cows. He called upon the people from across
the nation to take part in the conference irrespective
of caste, creed and party and to make it a successful.
The painstaking research for the last seven years
is the inspiring force for the conference, he said.

The state
government has realized ill effects of artificial insemination
and has assured to stop the same. The slaughter-houses
have to be converted into centers, which sell products
produced by cows, said Swamiji. Cow slaughter was not
promoted in any culture, he added. Indiscriminate use
of chemicals should be prevented. The conference would
decide on the efforts to safeguard indigenous species
of cows. Saints would disseminate information on the
usefulness of cows in society and. Over 20 litterateur
related to cows would be presented in the conference,
he said. Car festival would be held on the concluding
day of the conference.

In order to make Global Cow Conference a successful
one and to create an awareness on safeguarding cows
Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji has been attracting
the attention of thousands of people towards Ramachandrapura.
Hundreds of volunteers have been toiling to make all
necessary arrangements for the visitors and for the
programme.
The path between Hosanagar Town and Sri math, stretching
about 8 kms, has been decorated. Round the clock information
centers have been established to provide information
to visitors from other countries. Accommodation facilities
have been arranged at various parts of the district.
550 tents have been erected at the banks of the Sharavathi.
Hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers have been waiting
to serve visitors in all respects. For more details

Saints Meet:
With a view to retain the local flavour, as many as,
300 bullock carts would be decorated and displayed at
the conference.
With the onslaught of tractors and tillers, the bullock
carts are becoming a thing of past. The conference will
script many firsts.
Farmers should always remember the importance of oxen
and cows in their day to day life. This time instead
of polluting and honking vehicles cows with shrill sound
making cows would attract the attention of visitors,
said Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji. Apart from cows,
importance would be given to ox and Nandi. |

The Global Cow Conference scheduled held between
April 21 and 29 is not just a cow festival or jatra
but a seminar on creating awareness on the importance
and sacredness of cows in human lives.
In the wake of depleting role of cows in human lives,
which once played a vital role, the importance of cows
would be made known to public by organizing various
interactive sessions. Scientists and researchers would
present their research papers on the occasion. The importance
of cows are not limited to religious it is also linked
to the healthy society.
