April 25 : Mesmerising podium
 

Hosanagara, April. 25-
Huge podium, installed at the middle of the Math premises is attracting the people from children to old age. It gives a new look to the whole premises due to its special art work mesmerising the visitors.
It was constructed at 300-160 square feet space. In the back ground, there are many cows coming towards swamiji who receiving them with smile face amidst a beautiful greenery scene of the Maland area symbolizes the conference.
At the right side, there is a monument of cow which is white in colour and biting the thread which tied over the bell. It symbolizes the sounding bell by the cow asking for protection. In the front, there were two cows sitting while facing each other. The whole podium symbolizes the traditional scene of the Malnad area.
The whole art work is a brain child of the artist, Pura Shringar samittee president Gopadkar. According to him, the whole podium costs nearly Rs. 25 lakh.



Demand for gruel
Hosanagara, April. 25- There is a huge demand for gruel which was prepared by ‘Kuchalakki( a variety of rice)’.
Kuchalakki gruel is a routine food for the people in the coastal belt. But, among Malnad it is unpopular. Here, it is getting huge demand. On the inaugural day some 500 activists relished the taste of this gruel. Later, it spreads to others. On Monday 75 kg of rice was used for preparing gruel. It increased to 2.5 quintal on Wednesday.
It is a healthy food and gets digested easily. That is why it is getting huge demand, says an activist. But, main problem is it takes more time to boil.

‘IsCow’ vowed to protect cow
Hosanagara, April. 25- ‘IsCow’, ISKON’s American division vowed to take the responsibility of protection of cow, said its official Bala Bhadra Das (William Dove).
Cow is just not an animal. It is a mobile temple comprising of 360 crores of god within its body. Its four legs symbolizes the four Vedas, says Das. He depicted the picture of cow and Vishnu’s feet on both of his hands.
