April 25 : Country could save Rs. 8 cr by bullock cart: Experts

Bullock cart plays very important role in the transport sector. Unfortunately experiment has not been conducted on this since thousands of years, expert N H Veshweshwar has said.
Addressing the panel discussion on cow, agriculture and environment at the world conference on Indian breed cattle at Ramachandrapur Math here on Tuesday he said, still bullock cart is widely used for transport especially in rural side which saves more than Rs. 8 crores per year. But, work has not been done so far to upgrade technology in the sector, he lamented.

Speaking on the occasion Delhi based cow scientist Subhodh Kumar said, grass lands were diminishing due to over population. As a result cattle were suffering from lack of fodder. Lack of grazing land is one of the major problems in the cattle rearing, he lamented and called on common man to leave 10 square feet area for the purpose of grass land in his house.
Man cannot get everything from the money. But, everything is possible from cow, said Rajkote based cow expert Kanvar bhai.
Sharing the dais, he lamented that land is loosing its natural fertility due to over usage of chemical fertilizers by the farmers.
Natural farming expert Subhash Palekar presided over the function.
