Math, April. 28- Now we can see so many verities
of cattle breed only through pictures. Fortunately Swamiji
has created an opportunity to watch several verities of
cattle breed here for us, said writer Chakravarthy Sulibele.
Addressing the panel discussion on the subject ‘cow-war-peace-awareness’
here on Saturday he said, we come to know that in history
Hyder Ali used Amruth Mahal cattle breed during war.Cow
was the bone of contention for 1857 siphoy mutiny. If
we take puranas, we can visualize that cow was the reason
for Parashu Ram for taking war as an option to reach his
goal. Likewise, history says that cow played active role
both in war and peace, he added. |

Country
has 40,000 acres of agricultural land and a cost of
Rs 15,000 crores needed for purchasing tractors for
tillage. Happy thing is that Indian breed cattle were
handling this job very efficiently. Besides, they played
important role in transport sector, he added.

Indian
cattle breed are very strong: experts’ opinion
Ramachandrapur Math, April. 28- Indian cattle breed are
very strong compared to foreign breed and they could sustain
in all types of weather, Brazil veterinary expert Dr.
Roberto Teodoro has said.
Addressing the panel discussion here on Saturday he said,
earlier Brazil imported 8 lakh European cows for dairying,
but, could not sustain. Later country imported Indian
breeds like jabu, Concreage, Ongol, Gheer etc for dairying
and preparing mutton. They show good sustenance and now
in Brazil more than 90 per cent cattle breed belongs to
India. Now Brazil is a leading country in dairying and
the credit goes to Indian cattle breed, he added.
